The global network will be composed of two groups working simultaneously: One of school principals and another one of educational leadership experts. Groups will convene virtually and each meeting will be an opportunity to allow interaction, knowledge of outstanding projects and good practices aligned with the actual context and its impact on education. Each meeting will have its own goals, methodology, roles, and expected deliverables, all previously defined by the coordination team. The exchange of experiences and collaborative work will make it possible to understand the challenges principals face in guiding the future generations who today interact in a convulsed, connected and diverse world.
Meeting with group of School Principals:
Composed by School Principals from around the globe, the group will convene 6 times virtually during 2021 (1 meeting per month for 1.5hs each).
Each meeting will consist of two stages: one for training and one for reflection on the practice, which will result in a co-construction that will contribute to the final report.
This group will be guided by the coordination team and supported by diverse methodologies to promote a collaboratively designed agenda. This coordination team will as well define the main topics to be discussed and will elaborate a final document with recommendations related to the topic.
Meeting with expert group:
Composed by a diverse group of experts on Leadership and Education from across the globe, the group will convene 3 times virtually during 2021 (1 time per month for 1.5hs ). The group will be guided by the coordination team as well and supported by diverse methodologies to promote a collaboratively definition of agenda and the main topics to be discussed. The group will work as well on the elaboration of a final document with recommendations related to the topic.
Special meetings convening both groups and some external experts with the purpose of approaching deeply key themes emerged. These meetings will be an opportunity to learn from outside experts such as former ministers, business leaders, athletes, celebrities and judges who are experiencing leadership roles but in diverse sceneries.
This report will gather the identified challenges and the solutions suggested by the network, with the aim of generating knowledge related to school leadership. This knowledge will reflect the joint work and contributions of both networks, generated throughout the year.
The report will target school leaders around the globe, and it will bring the school context closer to the policy makers and experts of the field. By doing this, we intend to bring academia and practice together, building better solutions and a more contextualized knowledge.
A final event (hybrid) convening the whole network and other stakeholders as well will be held by the end of 2021.
